Dyson Buckingham
Meet Dyson, a passionate car enthusiast who has been in love with JDM & Luxury vehicles ever since his first ride in a black Toyota Supra twelve years ago. This car ride ignited a passion for cars that is still burning strong to this day.
At just 20 years old, Dyson seized an opportunity to work for a startup dealership in Christchurch, New Zealand. With only 5-10 cars for sale and being the sole employee, he skillfully managed the business, and under his guidance, it exploded to stock over 150 vehicles in a short time. His dedication paid off, as the dealership garnered over 100 five-star reviews during his two-year tenure.
Taking a brief break to explore the finance side of car sales and become a finance broker, Dyson later teamed up with two business partners to establish a dealership in Christchurch. Starting as a small 3-4 car backyard dealer, they rapidly evolved into a specialized JDM & Luxury car importing dealership. Over the last four years, the business steadily grew, earning more than 150 five-star reviews and countless satisfied customers.
After nearly five years in the industry, Dyson made the decision to return to Australia to be closer to his family. During this time, he recognized the significant demand for JDM & Luxury cars in Australia and the substantial price difference between the landed prices and the sales price. Drawing on his five years of experience importing vehicles from Japan to New Zealand, he capitalized on his contacts and expertise to establish Prestige Car Imports.
Today, Dyson’s mission is to help Australians purchase vehicles from auctions in Japan and around the world, ensuring they have access to the finest JDM & Luxury cars available. With his knowledge and passion for cars, he aims to deliver exceptional service and unforgettable experiences to all his customers.
